Parking

Surface Lots: We offer free parking in surface lots immediately in front of the medical office building via driveway 1, Ochsner Medical Center via driveway 2, and the Cancer Center via driveway 3.

• Handicap parking is available in all surface lots

Emergency Room: Patients visiting our 24/7 Emergency Room are welcome to park in the spaces in front of the emergency room or in the surface lot in front of the hospital.

Tobacco Free: All Ochsner Health Campuses are Tobacco Free. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on our campuses including the garages and parking areas. For more information visit our Smoking Cessation Clinics.

Spiritual Care: Chaplains provide sensitive spiritual support for patients, families, and staff from all different faith backgrounds. Please ask your care team if you would like a chaplain visit.

ATM: An ATM is located near the main entrance of the hospital.

Information: Our Patient Liaison team is available on site in the main lobby of the hospital seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Medical Records: Your record is always available to you to view, download and share in your MyOchsner patient portal account. To obtain copies of the medical record outside of MyOchsner, the patient's written authorization must be signed and dated, and must include the name and address of the individual who is to receive the copies of the record, the information requested and the treatment dates. Language Services: Language services are available to patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 1-833-896-6586. Additionally, your care team may request in-person or virtual interpreter support during a visit for both Limited English Proficiency and Deaf/Hard of Hearing patients.

Patient & Provider Advocacy: ​​​The Patient and Provider Advocacy department serves as intermediary for patients on issues like advance directives, HIPAA, and requests (appointments, medication refills, etc.). Patient and Provider Advocacy also supports Ochsner’s compliance with Patient Rights & Responsibilities​, provides policy interpretation and advice on institutional practices, and supports leaders and employees in difficult patient situations. Cafeteria

Our cafeteria on the first floor of the hospital is open seven days a week:

• Breakfast 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

• Lunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Our Grill is only open Monday – Friday, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Gift shop

Put a smile on someone’s face with cards, gifts, flower, balloons, and other products for all occasions. Located on the first floor of the hospital lobby, open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Vision Center

Our certified optical staff can help you find a new look or upgrade your lenses. We offer skilled, personalized service for all your optical needs, including high powers, specialty lenses, pediatrics, low vision, specialty prescriptions, corrective prism, and sunglasses. Located on the second floor of Plaza 1, open Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-5p.m. *Closed for lunch from 12-1 p.m.

Chapel

Our interfaith chapel is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is located on the first floor of the main hospital near the lobby.

Wi-Fi

Ochsner Medical Center offers free Wi-Fi for patients, families, and visitors. Please look for the OHN Guest Wi-Fi when on site.

Visually impaired services

All elevators and many other public areas have Braille signage to assist those with visual impairments. We can also provide you with an audio recording of patient rights and responsibilities, advanced directives, and the Ochsner mission statement.
