Parking
South Campus
South Parking Garage: We offer free garage parking on the South Campus for patients and visitors coming for clinic visits, Merrill Hines Surgery Center, and for visitors coming to see patients in the Ochsner Hospital for Children and PICU. Patient parking is available on the second floor and above. Please plan to pull a ticket upon entry and bring it with you to get validated at your visit or our main information deck.
The garage can be accessed from Jefferson Highway or cars and small trucks can also use our elevated express entrance ramp on Tansey Blvd off River Road for quick entrance to specific garage floors 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Valet parking is available on the first floor of the garage.
Handicap parking is located next to the elevators on floors 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6
Expectant parent parking is located on the 6th floor next to the elevators
Wheelchairs are available on the first floor near valet parking.
Oversized vehicle and overflow parking is available in the surface lot immediately behind the South Parking Garage on River Road.
Pediatric Emergency Room: The surface lot directly to the right of the ER on the South Campus (at the corner of Betz and Jefferson Highway) is the most convenient parking for patients coming for 24/7 pediatric emergency services.
North Campus: Surface lot parking is available for the Outpatient Imaging Center, the Center for Primary Care and Wellness, the Ochsner Health Center for Children, the Boh Center for Child Development, and the Specialty Pharmacy.

Child Life Specialists: Certified Child Life Specialists (CCLS) are professionals who are trained in the areas of child development, child life, counseling, and psychology, and have expertise in dealing with children’s concerns and reactions to the hospital and their illnesses. They are members of your comprehensive healthcare team and use play and other forms of communication to help reduce the stress of the healthcare experience for children and their families.
Spiritual Care: Chaplains provide sensitive spiritual support for patients, families, and staff from all different faith backgrounds. Please ask your care team if you would like a chaplain visit.
ATMs: An ATM is located on the first floor of the Brent House Hotel and in the elevator lobby of the hospital.
Information: Our Guest Services team is available on site in both the Atrium Tower lobby as well as right inside the main hospital entrance on Jefferson Highway.

Medical Records: Your record, and your child’s record through Proxy access, is always available to you to view, download and share in your MyOchsner patient portal account. To obtain copies of the medical record outside of MyOchsner, the patient's written authorization must be signed and dated, and must include the name and address of the individual who is to receive the copies of the record, the information requested and the treatment dates. Language Services: Language services are available to patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 1-833-896-6586. Additionally, your care team may request in-person or virtual interpreter support during a visit for both Limited English Proficiency and Deaf/Hard of Hearing patients.
Visually impaired services
All elevators and many other public areas have Braille signage to assist those with visual impairments. We can also provide you with an audio recording of patient rights and responsibilities, advanced directives, and the Ochsner mission statement.

Patient and Provider Advocacy: The Patient and Provider Advocacy department serves as intermediary for patients on issues like advance directives, HIPAA, and requests (appointments, medication refills, etc.). Patient and Provider Advocacy also supports Ochsner’s compliance with Patient Rights & Responsibilities, provides policy interpretation and advice on institutional practices. We know it can be inconvenient and uncomfortable for family members who have a loved
one in the hospital, especially those living out of the area. The full-service Brent House Hotel adjacent on our Ochsner Medical Center Campus offers comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. It is connected by a climate-controlled walkway to the clinic and hospital. All guest rooms are furnished with a flat screen television, and in-room refrigerator and microwave.

Our cafeteria on the first floor of the hospital is open Monday through Friday at the following times:

Bistro 42 Café
This café is located on the Atrium Tower’s first floor. It is open 7 days a week, from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. closed on holidays.
Coffee
New Orleans’ favorite, PJ’s Coffee, is served in all our dining locations and the dedicated PJ’s Coffee Stand is open on the first floor of the Atrium Tower Monday through Friday 6am-8pm and 6am-2pm Saturday and Sunday. Choose from coffee, tea, specialty coffee drinks, and a light sandwich or pastry.
Smoothie King
Nutritious smoothies made from countless combinations of whole fruits, organic vegetables, and nutritional enhancers to fuel your day are available right off the Atrium Tower lobby (near parking garage elevators) Monday through Friday 7am-7pm and Saturday 7am-2pm.

Our certified optical staff can help you find a new look or upgrade your lenses. We offer skilled, personalized service for all your optical needs, including high powers, specialty lenses, pediatrics, low vision, specialty prescriptions, corrective prism, and sunglasses. Located on the first floor of the Atrium Tower, open Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m.-5p.m.

Ochsner Hospital for Children offers free Wi-Fi for patients, families, and visitors. Please look for the OHN Guest Wi-Fi when on site.
Stamps and postage supplies
A small post office is located on the first floor of the South Parking Garage near Valet.
Ochsner Hospital for Children includes a 45-bed Acute Care unit, a 14-bed Level I Pediatric Intensive Care unit, and a 12-bed Pediatric CVICU, the only one of its kind in the Gulf South. Specialist appointments are also available on this campus at the Ochsner Health Center for Children and emergency services are provided through our dedicated pediatric emergency room.
