South College Parking Garage and Burdin Riehl Parking Garage: We offer free garage parking for patients and visitors coming for clinic visits or surgery and for visitors coming to see patients in the hospital. Patient parking is available on the first floor and above, except where designated as reserved parking.
South College Parking Garage can be access from South College Rd. and the Burdin Riehl Parking Garage can be access either from Coolidge St. or Heymann Blvd.
Handicap parking is located on the first floor, as well as next to the elevators on floors 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Expectant parent parking is located on the 6th floor next to the elevators.
Wheelchairs are available on the first floor near the main entrance.
Patient pick-up parking is available immediately behind the South College Parking Garage (10-minute limit).

Tobacco Free: All Ochsner Health Campuses are tobacco free. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on our campuses including the garages and parking areas.
Spiritual Care: Chaplains provide sensitive spiritual support for patients, families, and staff from all different faith backgrounds. Please ask your care team if you would like a chaplain visit.
ATMs: An ATM is located on the first-floor lobby across from the gift shop.
Information: Our Guest Services team is available on site by the main hospital entrance.

Medical Records: Your record is always available to you to view, download and share in your MyOchsner patient portal account. To obtain copies of the medical record outside of MyOchsner, the patient's written authorization must be signed and dated, and must include the name and address of the individual who is to receive the copies of the record, the information requested and the treatment dates. Language Services: Language interpretation services are available, free of charge. Please ask your care team if you need an interpreter.
Visually impaired services: All elevators and many other public areas have Braille signage to assist those with visual impairments.
Patient & Provider Advocacy: The Patient and Provider Advocacy department serves as a liaison between you and Ochsner Health by helping you resolve any concerns, complaints, or questions you may have regarding your care or service. Patient and Provider Advocacy also supports Ochsner’s compliance with Patient Rights & Responsibilities, provides policy interpretation and advice on institutional practices. Our interfaith chapel is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is located on the first floor of the main hospital.

Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center offers free Wi-Fi for patients, families, and visitors. Please look for the LGH-Guest Wi-Fi when on site.
Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center evolved from Lafayette Sanitarium, a six-bed facility that opened in 1911, and has been a leader in healthcare throughout its existence. Over the years, Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center has expanded its services and facilities to meet the community’s growing needs, and currently boasts a Level II Trauma Center, a Center of Excellence in Breast Imaging and Lung Cancer Screening, an Accredited Cancer Center by the Commission on Cancer, a Cigna 3-Star Quality Program and Aetna Center of Excellence in Bariatrics, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center and a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction Center+ in Maternity Care and in Bariatrics.
