Parking

Garage: We offer free garage parking for patients and visitors coming for clinic visits or surgery; and for visitors coming to see patients in the hospital. Patient parking is available on all floors (1-4)

The garage can be accessed from Belle Chasse Highway or Ochsner Boulevard.

  • Wheelchairs are available on the first floor of the hospital, the emergency room, and the medical office building

Surface Lots: We offer free parking in four surface lots on the OMC West Bank campus. Patient and visitor parking is available in the lot in front of the main hospital off Belle Chasse Highway, immediately behind the hospital near the emergency room entrance and in front of the medial office building off Ochsner Boulevard.

Emergency Room: Patients visiting our 24/7 Emergency Room are welcome to park in the surface lot behind the hospital and near the ED entrance or in the garage.

Spiritual Care: Chaplains provide sensitive spiritual support for patients, families, and staff from all different faith backgrounds. Please ask your care team if you would like a chaplain to visit or call the chaplain's office at 504-391-8819 or 504-595-8393.

ATM: An ATM is located on the 1st floor of the Hospital in the lobby.

Information: Our information desk is open on the first floor of the hospital Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. A phone is located in the main lobby of the hospital for 24-hour information. Learn more about requesting medical records.

Main Number: To be connected to any department, all patient rooms, or to get information on specific visiting hours before you arrive, please call 504-392-3131.

Medical Records: Your record is always available to you to view, download and share in your MyOchsner patient portal account. To obtain copies of the medical record outside of MyOchsner, the patient's written authorization must be signed and dated, and must include the name and address of the individual who is to receive the copies of the record, the information requested and the treatment dates.

Language Services: Language services are available to patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 1-833-896-6586. Additionally, your care team may request in-person or virtual interpreter support during a visit for both Limited English Proficiency and Deaf/Hard of Hearing patients.

Visually impaired services: All elevators and many other public areas have Braille signage to assist those with visual impairments. We can also provide you with an audio recording of patient rights and responsibilities, advanced directives, and the Ochsner mission statement.

Patient & Provider Advocacy: ​​​The Patient and Provider Advocacy department serves as intermediary for patients on issues like advance directives, HIPAA, and requests (appointments, medication refills, etc.). Patient and Provider Advocacy also supports Ochsner’s compliance with Patient Rights & Responsibilities​, provides policy interpretation and advice on institutional practices. Located on the first floor of the hospital, Café 504 is open:

  • Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for Breakfast and 11 A.m. – 2 p.m. for Lunch

Coffee

New Orleans’ favorite, PJ’s Coffee, is served in all our dining locations and the dedicated PJ’s Coffee kiosk is open on the first floor of the hospital, Monday through Friday
6:30 a.m. a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Choose from coffee, tea, specialty coffee drinks, and a light sandwich or pastry.

Our interfaith chapel is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is located on the second floor of the Hospital near the Family Unit Waiting Room.
