Surface Lots: We offer free parking in surface lots on Paul Maillard Road, along Angus Drive and along Milling Avenue.
Our north parking lot is directly in front of our main, hospital entrance and is convenient for the blood center, outpatient registration, imaging services and physician offices.
Our south parking lot is right outside our emergency room entrance and is also convenient when coming to dine at The Oyster’s Pearl, access same-day surgery, surgery waiting and physician offices.
Our Milling Avenue parking lot is best when visiting patients in the hospital, the behavioral health unit, the Cath lab, and physician offices.
Handicap parking is available in all surface lots.
Wheelchairs are available inside every entrance (Emergency Room, North, Milling and South)
Emergency Room: Patients visiting our 24/7 Emergency Room are welcome to park in specially designated spots in the South parking lot on Paul Maillard Road.

Spiritual care: Our interfaith chapel is open 24/7 and is located on the first floor across from cardiac rehabilitation.
ATMs: An ATM is located immediately inside The Oyster’s Pearl Grill and Café entrance.

Medical Records: Your record is always available to you to view, download and share in your MyOchsner patient portal account. To obtain copies of the medical record outside of MyOchsner, the patient's written authorization must be signed and dated, and must include the name and address of the individual who is to receive the copies of the record, the information requested and the treatment dates. Language Services: Language services are available to patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 1-833-896-6586. Additionally, your care team may request in-person or virtual interpreter support during a visit for both Limited English Proficiency and Deaf/Hard of Hearing patients.
Visually impaired services: All elevators and many other public areas have Braille signage to assist those with visual impairments. We can also provide you with an audio recording of patient rights and responsibilities, advanced directives, and the Ochsner mission statement.

Patient & Provider Advocacy: The Patient and Provider Advocacy department serves as intermediary for patients on issues like advance directives, HIPAA, and requests (appointments, medication refills, etc.). Patient and Provider Advocacy also supports Ochsner’s compliance with Patient Rights & Responsibilities, provides policy interpretation and advice on institutional practices. Located on the first floor of the south building:
Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. for Breakfast and 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. for Lunch
Coffee
Our coffee shop, The Courtyard Café, is open on the first floor of the hospital, Monday through Friday 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. Choose from coffee, tea, snacks and pre-made salads and sandwiches.
We offer several amenities for patients, families, staff, and visitors.
Gift shop
Lagniappe Gift and Goodies Gift Shop is well-stocked with all the latest trends and special gifts for patients, visitors, adults, children and more. The gift shop is open Tuesday, Thursday, and every other Friday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and can be reached at 985-785-4257. Revenue generated by the gift shop supports patient-related projects throughout the hospital.
Vision Center
Our Vision Center is in the Plantation View Medical Office located at 13100 River Road in Destrehan. Open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Please call 985-764-7669 for more information.
